FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What type of surfaces can the mop be used on?
All kinds of surfaces except carpets: stones, marbles, granite grist tiles, parquet-floors, strip floors, Sweedish floors, wainscoting, rustproof columns.
How can we achieve the lowest cleaning costs and save 50% of manpower?
The two phases of traditional cleaning (dry sweeping then washing up by using chemicals) is reduced to one phase; only half of the previous cleaning time is needed for each square meter so manpower is halved as well. As neither water nor detergent is needed expenses can be sharply reduced.
How many square meters can be cleaned with 1 mop during a period of two weeks?
Due to the special allocation of the fibres and proofing the efficiency of the mop is the same at the end of the two-week period as in the beginning.
1 mop is adapted to clean a surface perfectly as follows:
Mop Ref.18. (46 cm) 3.000 square metres
Mop Ref.24. (61 cm) 4.000 square metres
Mop Ref.30. (76 cm ) 5.000 square metres
Mop Ref. 42 (107 cm) 7.000 square metres
How can we notice that the mop is not suitable for further cleaning?
The original red colour of the mop turns grey or black when using but the change of the colour starts from the end of the mop fibres when it absorbs the dust. The mop is "full" when the fibres are black. In this case it is recommended to change the mop.
Is the cleaned surface slippery?
Not at all. There is no danger of an accident as in case of traditional wash-up. Since the floor can be used right after cleaning it is not necessary to rail off and limit the area. Time for drying is not needed either.
In which fields of healthcare can the mop be used?
Due to its antiseptic effect and waterless usage it is suitable for every kind of room of health institutions: corridors, halls, staircases, infirmaries, wards, medical offices etc. with the exception of the operating rooms and sterile rooms (as these have to be washed up with special disinfectants).
Is it possible to use the mops in water blocks?
As the mop should be used dry for cleaning it is not recomended to use it in kitchens, bathrooms, toilettes, swimming pools and other places where huge wet surfaces need to be kept clean. The efficiency of the impregnate material can be worsened by water.
What makes the cleaned surface shiny?
The special ingredients of the impregnate material (produced by Dust-Tex and licensed worldwide) includes paraffin oil, which, as a natural material, creates shiny and glittering surface.
Is it possible to use the mops for sticky stains?
No. Sweetened soft drinks poured on the floor or other dried, hard-to-shift stains need to be removed by using the traditional method or with the appropriate materials (eg.: alcoholic diluent).
Can we use the mops after painting or for house-cleaning?
It is not appropriate for removing whitewash and paint stains as water-based paints can only be dissolved by water. However, it is advisable to use the mop after removing the paint stains from the floor to create a clean and shiny surface. The same method can be used in case of house-cleaning.
Does it have an unpleasant odour due to proofing?
No. It has a really discreet smell of fresh lemon.
Does efficiency of the device decrease when using it for 2 weeks?
Due to the special proofing the efficiency of the mops remains at the same level during the whole period of usage according to the norms of Mesdi Dust Tex.
